Learning by Doing

At our school, Activity-Based Learning (ABL) is an integral part of the teaching–learning process. This approach transforms classrooms into interactive learning spaces, where students actively participate, explore concepts, and learn through hands-on experiences rather than rote memorisation.

What is Activity-Based Learning?

Activity-Based Learning is a student-centred methodology that encourages learners to:

Explore concepts through practical activities

Learn collaboratively through group work

Apply knowledge in real-life situations

Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Key Features of Activity-Based Learning

Hands-on Activities: Experiments, models, role-plays, projects, and demonstrations

Collaborative Learning: Group discussions, peer learning, and teamwork

Experiential Learning: Learning through observation, exploration, and reflection

Cross-Curricular Integration: Linking concepts across subjects for deeper understanding

Benefits for Students

Activity-Based Learning helps students to:

Develop conceptual clarity

Enhance creativity and curiosity

Improve communication and collaboration skills

Build confidence and independence

Retain learning more effectively

Enjoy the learning process

Implementation Across Grades

Primary School: Learning through games, storytelling, art, and simple experiments

Middle School: Projects, simulations, presentations, and subject-based activities

Senior School: Research-based projects, lab work, case studies, and real-world applications

Our Approach

Our teachers act as facilitators and mentors, guiding students to ask questions, explore ideas, and arrive at solutions independently. Continuous assessment and reflection ensure meaningful learning outcomes.

Our Vision

We aim to create lifelong learners who are curious, confident, and capable of applying knowledge beyond the classroom.

Research Project Programme

Encouraging Inquiry, Innovation, and Independent Thinking

The Research Project Programme at our school provides students with opportunities to explore topics of interest through systematic investigation, analysis, and presentation. This programme nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills while promoting independent and collaborative learning.

Objectives of the Research Project Programme

The programme aims to:

Develop research and analytical skills

Encourage questioning, inquiry, and exploration

Promote independent thinking and creativity

Strengthen writing, presentation, and communication skills

Prepare students for higher education and future careers

Key Components

Students engage in:

Topic selection based on interest and relevance

Research using books, journals, digital resources, and surveys

Data collection, observation, and analysis

Project documentation and report writing

Presentations, exhibitions, and peer discussions

Skills Developed

Through research projects, students develop:

Critical and logical thinking

Information literacy and referencing skills

Time management and planning

Collaboration and teamwork

Confidence in presenting ideas

Gain deeper conceptual understanding

Develop critical thinking and observation skills

Improve interaction and communication skills

Build confidence and independence

Learn through direct experience and reflection

Safety & Supervision

Student safety is our top priority. All field trips are:

Carefully planned and age-appropriate

Supervised by trained teachers and staff

Conducted with strict safety guidelines and parental consent

Integration with Curriculum

Each field trip is thoughtfully aligned with the academic curriculum and followed by reflection activities, discussions, or projects to reinforce learning outcomes.

Our Vision

We believe field trips play a vital role in shaping well-rounded learners by making education meaningful, engaging, and memorable.
